Play Doh

Now that Carter has stopped eating Play Doh we have lots of fun making things! Today we made Mickey Mouse sandwiches.

Early Birthday Visit

It is still a couple weeks until Carter's second birthday but Grandma and Papa came for an early celebration!

ABCs........almost

I have been trying to get a video of Carter doing his ABC's, but he really likes to look at pictures of himself, so its hard to record anything or take a picture now. As you can see below we got half way through the alphabet before he asked to see himself!

Singing

Carter has been singing a lot lately. Some of his favorites are the ABC song (which he does perfectly), Puff the Magic Dragon, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and a rainbow song he learned at school. This is Carter singing his rainbow song. "red, and orange, green, and blue, shiny yellow, purple too. All the colors that we know live in the rainbow!)

Note: I can't figure out to turn this around so its facing the right way, so if anyone knows, let me know!!

Favorite Books

Carter has really loved books practically since he was born. I love that he loves reading so much. He likes to "read" to us now and tells us the story as he flips through the page. He also loves to point things out in all the pictures. Carter is very particular about what books he picks out to read. These are some of his current favorites. We are on a real Mercer Mayer kick right now.

Drinking from a Cup

We got Carter his very own cup. He is such a big boy now and does such a great job drinking from a real cup.

New Years Eve and Snowy Weekend

We had a pretty low key new years eve this year. Our friends Tom, Kate, and baby Maura came over. Carter loves baby Maura. Here he is rocking her and some pictures with Tom and Kate. Carter sure loves the Flaws family!Last year I decided I was going to try to take a picture of Carter every New Years at midnight. I don't know how many years I will be able to do this, but here are pictures from 2009 and 2010.

The rest of our weekend was very relaxing. It snowed a lot so we took Carter out to play in the snow and shovel!

New Toys

With a long snowy weekend we have had lots of time to play with Carter's new toys, including his new horse and basketball hoop.
