Happy Birthday Mason!

Today is Mason's official birthday. The cliche is true, it goes by so fast. As we were putting him to bed last night I was remembering the emotions I had the last year at the same time. It was so weird to think of having another child and I was so worried about how Carter was going to react. That seems so ridiculous now! It seems like Mason has always been a part of our family and we love him so much. Carter and Mason adore each other and they are even starting to play with each other. The smile Mason gets on his face when he sees Carter in the morning is one of the cutest things in the world!

Happy Birthday Mason! We all love you so much!!

Mason's First Birthday Party

We had Mason's first birthday party on Saturday! I can't believe I am even writing that he is ONE...it went by so fast. He officially turns one on May 25th, but we celebrated a little early. After a week of rain we ended up having beautiful weather so we were able to be outside. Mason is getting teeth and he was a little cranky during the beginning of the party but cake seemed to help his mood out!

Waiting for his guests to arrive.

Cow balloon for our Mason "Moo."

Barnyard cupcakes.

Happy Birthday! Mason does not appear too interested in his cake here.

Mason loved his cake!

Carter was a great helper passing out plates and cupcakes.

Time to enjoy cake!

Party guests!

Touch a Truck

We went to Touch a Truck again this year with the Costas. Here are Mason and Henry checking out their hats.

The kids saw lots of big trucks and had a good time.

Drummer Boys

Books

Carter (on his own) discovered Babar books at the library the other day and instantly loved them. We have read these two so far and I predict many more in my future.

Its funny how different the kids are. Carter has always loved books since he was very little. Mason is very curious and doesn't stop moving and crawling and trying to get into stuff and won't sit still. The bathroom is his favorite place and whenever someone lease the door open he makes a bee line for it. I can get him to sit and read books with me when he is sleepy at night. These are his favorites right now.

He gives kisses to the little boy in this book...very cute.

This has been a longtime favorite in our house. Carter loved it and now Mason loves it.

Play Group at the Park

The Medford Family Network hosts playgroups in the park during the summer. Its held at a different park every Friday. This Friday was the first one we were able to attend and it happened to be the one near our house. Carter's friend Jeffrey met us at the park. Carter and Jeffrey play so well together and have so much fun outside.

Jeffrey let Carter try out his new bike.

Carter and Jeffrey love snack time!

Crafts at the park.

There was also story time and a parachute to play with at the park. Carter and Jeffrey were not overly interested in either, but they check out both for a little while.

When Mason woke up from the nap at the park he also had fun!

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day Nana came down and we went out to breakfast. Then we went to the Arnold Arboretum. We went there with Carter on his second mother's day. The Lilac festival is on Mother's Day and its a nice tradition.
