Roasting Marshmallows

Happy Birthday Mason!

This Memorial Day weekend we celebrated Mason's second birthday.  He had his two year appointment and he weighed 29 1/2 pounds and was 34 1/2 inches.  On Thursday we brought in cupcakes for his class.  They were of course pirate cupcakes.
On his birthday we gave him the presents from us and Grandma.
On Saturday we had his pirate party.
Thanks to everyone who came to the party! We had a great day.

Touch a Truck

We went to touch a truck in Beverly again this year with the Costas.  Here are the boys and trucks.

Too tired to go on.
Lollipops....as always the best part of the day.

Bikes & Baseball

Carter got a new bike for his birthday and he has been a little wary of riding it.  Dave took him out on Saturday to practice.  He does pretty well, but pedaling is still a little tricky.

Wait for me!
Carter's new favorite thing to do is to play baseball with Daddy.  Uncle Brian and Auntie Erin got him a tee, baseball, and bat for his birthday.  He prefers to have the ball pitched to him and he is getting pretty good.  Maybe next year we will sign him up to play.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a beautiful Mother's Day weekend.  After a week of rain we had great weather and we really enjoyed it.  We had the kids Mother's Day performance at school.  Carter had been telling me the song he was singing at school was a secret and his teacher told the class not to sing it around Moms.  I could hear him practicing in his room at night after he went to bed though.  Carter also can write his name now and wrote his name on the card he gave me, which I will keep forever.  Mason also had his show, he is shy and didn't really sing during his performance, but he didn't cry and was happy to get a cookie after his show.  Mason loves to sing at home and sings "the pirate song" for us every day.  This is the book/song he loves so much.
On Saturday we went to Coolidge Reservation to go for a short hike and played in the waves.

On Mother's Day we went out to breakfast and went to the Arnold Arboretum which we have done every Mother's Day since Carter was born except for one.

The highlight of Carter's day was slush.
