Lobster Rolls

We went back to Grace Church for lobster rolls on Friday night.  They are so good and such an unbelievable deal.  Its relaxing and at the end of the week the kids are so happy to just play in a playground for a little while.

Enormous chocolate cream pie too!

Bridge Jumping

The beach we go to has the bridge where the movie Jaws was filmed. Tons of people jump of this bridge and my 10 year old nephew wanted to jump. Brian, Connor and I jumped off the bridge. After we jumped Connor and Brian and Alanna jumped about 50 more times. Once was enough for me!

Children's Festival at the MVCMA

The MVCMA (where our cottage is) put on a little children's festival on Saturday.  It was perfect because it was an overcast day so we took all the kids there for a little while. The kids had a blast and got some great prizes.
Alpacas from Island Alpaca-they showed up in a minivan

Carter decorated his cupcake forever, placing each tiny sprinkle in a specific location.

Back Door Donuts

Dave, Carter, & Mason LOVE donuts.  Donuts are a real treat in my house and Carter has loved to go get donuts in the morning with Dave since he was really little.  This year Dave took just Carter to Back Door Donuts to get fresh donuts.  He brought them home as well and the kids loved them.

Ice Cream, Arcade, and Flying Horses

The best part about where we stay is the proximity to downtown Oak Bluffs. We are so close to the flying horses, ice cream, etc. that we were able to take a walk downtown nightly. We also spent some time in Edgartown walking around as well.

Mason does not enjoy this at all :)

Menemsha

My favorite place to go on the Vineyard is Menemsha. We went this year to have dinner and see the sunset. The kids had fun looking at the lobsters and playing at the beach. While we were there the craziest storm rolled in and it was really beautiful. Thankfully, just as fast as it came in it went out and we were again left with a beautiful night. Seeing an 8:00 sunset with kids who go to bed at 7:30 and who spent the entire day at the beach is a little tricky, but worth it!
