Cape Poge Canoe Trip

We took the Chappy ferry again this year and went to Cape Poge to rent a canoe.  It was so much fun.  Carter was a little scared in the canoe at first, but he was better after awhile.  Mason? Mason LOVED the canoe.  I have never seen anything like it, he was very quiet and peaceful and leaned over the side to touch the water.  It was really cute seeing how much he loved it.  We also canoed all the way to the end of the pond and saw egrets, herons, osprey, and cormorants.  We say and Osprey fly out of his nest and catch a fish.  It was really fantastic and cannot wait to do it again.

First Beach Day & Menemsha

We went to State Beach on Monday and did Menemsha in the afternoon, unfortunately the weather took a turn when we got to Menemsha and it was a little chilly.  We did not hang around for the sunset, but we still had a good dinner and the kids had fun running around together.

Martha's Vineyard-Arrival and Cottage

We just got back from our third year at Martha's Vineyard.  We stayed at the campground in the same cottage we stayed at last year.  We took the ferry over with the Flawses and did the carousel right away.  Our friend's Maria and Raul were also in MV this year so we all had dinner together at Sharkey's.

Maura's Birthday

Maura is turning 4! We went to her birthday party this past weekend. 

Nothing to do with Marua's party, but we went to REI first, Mason tried these on and its just cute!

 

Movies

We finally took the kids to their first movie in the theatre and saw Monsters Universtiy. We did not tell them where we were going and they were both so excitied when we go to the theatre.  Now they want to go see Disney's Planes.

Beach House #2

We have had a lot of beach time this summer and we have not even gone on vacation yet.  Kate's parents rented a house in Rockport for a week and they were nice enough to have us all up for they day.  The house was directly on the beach and there were bigger waves then we are used to.  Carter and I LOVED them, Mason, not so much, but he still had a great time on the beach building castles and running around.
