4 Months

We had Mason's 4 month appointment today. He is growing fast. He is 26 inches long and weighs 15 1/2 pounds. So much has been happening with him over the past few weeks. He can roll from his back to stomach and from his stomach to back. He rolls all the time. Carter never really rolled much at all. Mason is all smiles all the time now. Its the best when he first wakes up in the morning. He is so happy to see everyone and start his day. He continues to be the BEST baby. He is so easy going and happy.

Apple Pie

Carter and I made an apple pie today. He helped me put the apples in the bowl after I cut them.

He also ate a lot of apples.

Finally he stirred all the ingredients.

Avery's Birthday Party

Saturday we had Avery's birthday party at an apple orchard. We got to take a tractor ride. Carter was psyched to see the tractor.

Mason slept during his first orchard trip.

Nighttime shenanigans.

Carter used to be very good at going to bed. We have recently gone through some difficulties in putting him to bed, although as of this post he has actually gone back to going to bed fairly well. When he was refusing to go to bed he would stand at the top of the stairs and say "Mommy, I need you, " "I want to see my Mommy," "Mom and Dad, I just want to talk." "I need to use the potty" (That one I would often fall for, but then said until you want to use the potty during the day, forget it!). "I want to rock," "I need a drink of water," "I want to see my Daddy..." and on and on and on.......

After about a week of eventually just ignoring him, he now goes to bed. However, as soon as we leave his room, he gets up and goes to sleep in the spare room. We then have to move him to his bed, where he typically sleeps the rest of the night. Every once in awhile we have a 3:00 a.m. visitor but not too often.

Library Trip & New Books

Now that I am a stay at home Mom on Mondays and Fridays Carter, Mason, and I get to go to the library for story times and sing alongs. These events are always during the week so we never got to go before. Yesterday we went to our first story time and it was so much fun. They even do a little craft with the kids afterwards. Carter continues to LOVE reading, which really makes me happy, plus I love childrens books, so picking out new books is fun for both of us. Here is his latest favorite. Its a classic and one I remember from when I was little.


We also got this book which has been a hit.

Finally, anything about firetrucks is a hit in our house.
