I have been seriously slacking on the pictures lately, which is very unlike me.
I wanted to write a quick note about the kids. They are crazy rambunctious boys who drive me crazy some times and my house is loud and I am constantly picking up after them.....and I couldn't be happier to have them. With the recent horrible and unspeakable tragedy in Connecticut I realize just how extremely lucky we are. I can't stop thinking about CT and feel sick over it.
Mason is the happiest kid in the world as long as you don't make him eat or go to bed! He could play by himself for hours. He loves his toys and he loves to play. Lately his new line when I try to get him to do something such as eat dinner is "Leave me alone, I'm busy." He has a great imagination and I love watching him play and talk to himself when I am not around. He LOVES his "bear bear." which actually belongs to Carter, but Mason has adopted him and goes everywhere with him.
I am amazed at how independent he is and how competent he is at entertaining himself.
Carter is so smart and so sweet. He has been having some listening problems lately that we are working through, but when he is good he is so very good and sweet. His writing has been improving dramatically over the past couple weeks. He can write his name perfectly and each week is writing is getting a little better. He can count up to 100 and knows all his numbers and letter sounds. Last night he asked me to lay in bed with him so he could practice writing letters and words with his magna doodle.
Our Elf on the Shelf continues to be a huge hit with Carter and our Advent Calender. Every morning with out fail Carter gets out of bed, goes on his search of the Elf and opens the door to the Advent Calendar.
They are sweet, smart little boys. Cherish them!
